Zen Mopping – Watermarks on the floor

With a mop the cement floor of the desolate

atrium at JCCAC is transformed into a canvas.

The choreographic mopping on the floor offers

a meditative moment for the integration of body,

mind and spirit.

 

The result is a painting made of miraculously

vanishing watermarks. While participants improvise

their own marks and patterns, rhythm emerges.
